코비드 19 바이러스 사태로 어려움을 겪는 분들 위한 

사랑의 프로젝트에 

나눔과섬김의 교회 성도들은  개인적으로 혹은 가정교회별로 

동참해 주시기 바랍니다. 

COVID19 바이러스 확산 때문에 말레이시아 정부가 감염의 확산을 막기 위해 사람의 통행을 제한하는 국경

봉쇄를 실시했습니다. 이로 인해서 싱가폴로 출퇴근 하는 많은 말레이시아 분들이 영향을 받았습니다. 이분

들 중 많은 사람이 비록 싱가폴에 숙소가 없지만 일을 계속하고 생계를 유지하기 위해 싱가폴에 남기로 했습

니다.

국경 봉쇄 조치 이루 임시 거처를 마련하지 못하신 말레이시아 분들이 공원이나 MRT역 혹은 다리 밑에서 

잠을 청하는 일이 일어나고 있습니다.

MSF (Ministry of Social and Family Development)에서 사회단체들과 함께 임시 숙소를 제공하고 있지만 

여전히 십만명의 사람들이 영향을 받았습니다. 이제 싱가폴의 교회가 하나님의 사랑의 실천을 할 때입니다.

몇몇 교회들이 ‘또 다른 안식처 (Home Away From Home)’를 만들고 함께 행동하고자 합니다. 길거리와 공원

에서 힘들게 잠을 청하시는 분들을 찾아서 New Home Community Services  (Transit point @ Margaret Drive,

51 Margaret Drive)로 데리고 오려 합니다.

New Home Community Center는 과거에 Queenstown Polyclinic이었는데 MSF에서 임시 숙소로 지정하였고

New Hope Community Service (NHCS, 새 소망 공동체)에서 노숙인과 숙소를 구하지 못하는 분들을 위해 운영해 왔습니다. 

현 상황을 맞이하여, NHCS는 잠자리를 찾지 못하신 노무자를 위해 새로운 시설을 제공해 주기로 하였습니다.

NHCS는  Love Singapore (싱가폴 희년 기도회와 코비드 19  정오 기도 주관단체)와 협력하여 또 다른 안식처를 제공하려고 계획 중입니다. .

이런 협력은 ‘또 다른 안식처’가 어려움을 당한 분들에게 좀더 편리하고 가까운 곳에서 쉬실 수 있는 방법을 제공하게 될 것입니다. 그리고 당신도 ‘또 다른 안식처’의 일원이 되셔서 어려움을 겪으시는 말레이시아 분들을 도우실 수 있습니다. 자원봉사자로 나서 주시고 필요한 물품들을 기부하여 주세요.

*필요한 자원봉사자*

직접 대면 지원자(저녁 9-새벽1시)

1. 불편한 잠자리를 하시는 분들을 확인하고 연결하기

2. 연락처 및 상세 내용 기입

3. 불편한 잠자리를 하시는 분들을 안내하고 임시 숙소로 이동 (자가 소유 자동차 선호)

4. 지속적인 관계 형성

현장 운영팀 (오전 10시 – 오후 4시)

1. 매일 청소하고 소독하기

2. 이불 침구 세탁

3. 아침 식사 제공 (아침 6-8시 30분)

나눔과섬김의 교회 선교관(6467-4476)으로 가져 오시면 교회가 취합하여 전달해 드립니다. 

현재 계획은 3월 31일까지 임시 숙소를 제공할 예정이지만 상황에 따라 이 프로젝트가 연장될 수 있습니다.

*“Home Away from Home” *

_– A Project to Love COVID19 Rough Sleepers_

Due the COVID19 pandemic, the Malaysian Government locked down their borders to restrict human traffic and curb the spread of infection.  This resulted in many Malaysian commuting workers being displaced.  Despite not having a place to stay in Singapore, these workers decided to remain here in order not to disrupt their work and income.

Since the lockdown, those Malaysian workers who are unable to afford temporary housing, have taken to sleeping in parks, MRT stations, or under bridges – subject to the elements and scant security.

While MSF is concurrently organizing shelters with private and public organisations, there is still an estimated 100,000 affected workers.  This presents an opportunity for churches in Singapore to demonstrate God’s love in action.

A group of Singapore churches have formed *“Home Away from Home” *– a collective effort to answer this call to action.  We will seek out affected workers rough-sleeping in public areas and attempt to bring them to New Hope Community Services’ *Transit Point @ Margaret Drive.  *

Located at 51 Margaret Drive, Transit Point @ Margaret Drive, the former Queenstown Polyclinic, has been designated by MSF as a shelter, run by New Hope Community Services (NHCS), for the homeless and rough-sleepers.  To help in this COVID19 crisis, NHCS has kindly opened this brand-new facility to stranded Malaysian, Singaporean & PR workers.  

Apart from the collaboration with NHCS, *“Home Away from Home”* is also linking up with other shelters under the LoveSingapore umbrella:

• Living Streams Brethren Church’s BCARE. 

• Covenant EFC Woodlands

• CPT Training and Camp Centre

This network provides *“Home Away from Home”* more options to house affected workers closer to their convenience.

You can be a part of *“Home Away from Home”* and help these affected Malaysian workers.  Come volunteer with us and/or donate practical essentials.

*VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR:*

1) Identifying & connecting with rough-sleepers

     • 9pm – 1am

2) Recording contact details

3) Directing or transporting rough-sleeper to shelter

     • Preferably with your own vehicle

4) Follow-up relationship-building

*ON-SITE OPERATIONS:*

1) Daily area-cleaning & sanitizing

    • Any time between 10am – 4pm

2) Bed-linen laundry

3) Daily Breakfast Service

     • 6:00 - 8:30am
