Dear Friends, Church Members and Church Leadership,
This morning I was training in the gym with my Korean brother Lee Dong Ho and sharing with him what happened to our family yesterday and giving blessings to the Lord of how much he loved and looked after our family - Brother Lee asked me to share my testimony with the rest of the congregation.
Whether it’s in the Workplace, TV, Newspapers or with friends every day I seem to hear or interpret "Where is God?" Well, I can tell you where he was yesterday at 11am SGT. He was at Thomson Medical Centre saving my daughter - you see, like any child my daughter has plenty of energy, is very independent and she loves exploring on her own. My wife had taken my son, Jacob, to receive his 5-month inoculation yesterday and while she was preparing him she asked our helper to look after Kate, our daughter. In this brief two minutes while my wife was attending to Jacob my daughter decided to run around the waiting area - when she subsequently tripped and went face first into a door where she opened a wound on her lip almost 3cm - my wife then calmly called me explaining what happened, got the nurse to call around Singapore to see which doctors were available to operate on Kate, put her parents in a taxi with Jacob and sent them home (her parents don’t speak English) and got us an appointment at Gleneagles Hospital - all within 15 minutes. 45 minutes later we were finished at Gleneagles Hospital, Kate received 4 stitches in her lip and she is now recovering; so this raises the question; where was God? Let me tell you where he was:
1. He was saving my daughter by not letting her hurt her eyes, nose, cheeks, teeth, head, arms, legs or any other severe injury – instead he let it happen to the most harmless area
2. He was delivering calmness to my wife who had the wherewithal to engage the doctor, nurse, me and taxi driver; all while managing my daughter who was not crying because she was distracting her with Pororo cartoons
3. He was arranging to her one doctor who had no appointments when we called
4. Gleneagles is notorious for parking – but when we arrived we got the closest car park to the center – so we had no delay
5. He helped us find a doctor that quickly cleaned, closed and stitched her wounds
6. My daughter was in a lot of pain yesterday – yet she cooperated with my wife and still ate food and drank fluids – if anyone knows my daughter she doesn’t enjoy food time

Last night before we fell asleep Eun Jung and I were speak to each other and describing how painful it was to see our daughter go through what she did when my wife said something very special to me:
“Danny, imagine how we feel when our daughter only split her lip, so upset, empty and sad; Imagine the love of God when he sacrificed the life of his one and only son for this world”
If the world is expecting mountains to move, seas to part and chariots to reign in the sky then we are all looking in the wrong direction – some may look at yesterday’s incident and say “She was lucky” – but the reality is the good Lord saved my daughter from further injury and gave the entire family calm to execute her recovery; he is all around us, performing miracles every day and hoping that we will share the word – I personally have much to do as a Man, Father, Husband, Son and Christian to even consider myself worthy of the attention, love and help of the Lord – but the Lords acts without prejudice and malice, but with the Love and Grace as he continues to hold my family under the shelter of his umbrella.
So in case anyone was looking for the Lord yesterday, I can tell you from my experience he was on Level 2 at Thomson Medical Centre at 11am SGT.
